Scope of the Conference

Following the success of the 1st International Nurse Education Conference held in Vancouver in 2006, Nurse Education Today and Nurse Education in Practice are pleased to announce a second conference in the series focusing on research and innovation in international nurse education.
NETNEP 2008 will be comprised of keynote lectures and concurrent submitted oral presentations, symposia and a poster session.

The conference aims to enable educators, students, practitioners and researchers to disseminate and discuss evidence of education research, development and innovation in health professional education.

The following main themes have been chosen to reflect education developments and innovations. Research and internationality are implicit across each theme.

• Interprofessional education
• Education in clinical practice
• Technology in health and social care education
• History, policy and theory in education
• Research methodology in nursing education
• Teaching and assessment in practice

Delegates will be encouraged to contribute to the discussions that will undoubtedly take place after each presentation and to afford all presenters a safe and encouraging environment in which to present their papers and posters. It is primarily an opportunity for learning and sharing research and best practice in nursing and related education.
